Cognitive Intelligent Decision-making for digital Transformation of Reconfigurable Production System
Demands for flexibility and customization in modern manufacturing have driven the evolution toward digital transformation. Implementing digital transformation in manufacturing presents significant challenges, notably not only in digitalization technologies but also in aligning production capabilities, organizational strategies, and systemic integration across manufacturing processes. To address these challenges and align with the trend of digital transformation, the reconfigurable production system (RPS) has emerged. The RPS not only offers physical and operational flexibility but also incorporates the planning, management, and control processes required to optimize production, which has attracted attention from academia and industry.
This thesis proposes an original cognitive intelligent decision-making framework for digital transformation in reconfigurable production systems. The dissertation identifies key research questions in the domains of production planning and control, information flow management, and cognitive intelligent decision-making.
